This piece explores playing mainly on the accidentals of the marimba with the aim of producing a bell-like sound along with the feeling of a tick-tock of a clock. The tempo is a guide only, but do keep it regular and even.
Originally from the Faber Music publication Perpetual Motion, a collection of 10 evocative pieces written for young pianists to explore and enjoy, these pieces have been transcribed for marimba or vibraphone by Dame Evelyn Glennie with the intention of concentrating on musicality:
